I've spent the last few hours doing cost of living comparisons and have concluded that I need to move to fucking Baltimore. I'm serious. Baltimore's cost of living index is the smallest of any metropolitan area in the USA. Compare her 98.2 to NYC's 231.8!!! I could live comfortably in Baltimore on 16,000 a year!!! Is that insane?!

Now I really have to visit to see if it's a place I could actually live. Forget going to visit people, I need to scout out real estate!!!

where were you comparing this at ? I'd like to know Reading's index... a few minor celebrities (Michael Constantine, Richard Gere) have decided to take up residence in the area for long term purposes, yet things are generally very cheap... gas, food, clothes, houses, cigarettes, etc. I wanna knoooooooooow !

I just stumbled upon them by accident. I typed "cost of living baltimore" into a search engine and found the index on one of the webpages.
