I've spent the last few hours doing cost of living comparisons and have concluded that I need to move to fucking Baltimore. I'm serious. Baltimore's cost of living index is the smallest of any metropolitan area in the USA. Compare her 98.2 to NYC's 231.8!!! I could live comfortably in Baltimore on 16,000 a year!!! Is that insane?!

Now I really have to visit to see if it's a place I could actually live. Forget going to visit people, I need to scout out real estate!!!

where were you comparing this at ? I'd like to know Reading's index... a few minor celebrities (Michael Constantine, Richard Gere) have decided to take up residence in the area for long term purposes, yet things are generally very cheap... gas, food, clothes, houses, cigarettes, etc. I wanna knoooooooooow !

I just stumbled upon them by accident. I typed "cost of living baltimore" into a search engine and found the index on one of the webpages.

Outside of Baltimore, roughly 30 minutes of driving, there's this little town called Glenn Dale. It's even cheaper to live there, or an adjacent town called Bowie (Which is now famous for the sniper rampage thingy, since the schoolkid that was shot went to Tasker in Bowie). So yeah, that's where you need to live. Glenn Dale, next to Bowie. :-p

The best part about it though? No really famous biblical figures live here, or, for that matter, high ranking officers of British intelligence (MI6). Most of the time, they're in England.

Decisions decisions

LOL Actually I really wanted to spend spring break in Baltimore but decided on Washington DC instead because I thought Baltimore was too far. It looks a lot farther away on a map.

So which do you think would be a better place to spend my four days of freedom, DC or Baltimore?

Weeelllll...here are the pros and cons of everything.

DC - A hell of a lot easier to get around in, what with the metro and everything. Lots of museums and such, and if you're in the downtown area, pretty clean. Also, it's easier for me to get to. ;-)
The bad part is that the downtown area is likely the only part you'll want to visit. Also, riding the subway after like 10 or 11 unless you're a cop or me is not a good idea.

Baltimore...ah, Baltimore. Typically Baltimore's busier, mainly since they have more stuff, big stuff (Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles) packed right next to each other. They also have more big business, and there's the inner harbor, which is a pretty cool place, lots of places to hang out.
Down sides...it's busier, smells worse, and the people can be meaning. That and it seems like there's more sex in Baltimore...lots of porn shops in some areas, and a few Hooters that stick out.

Take your pick.

Oh man now I have no idea!!! You definitely make Baltimore sound more fun, and more like the type of place I'd enjoy, but...DC is just closer to every one I wanna see. BUGGERS!!!!! I'm gonn ahve to email my friend Clark and ask his opinion.
