Sixteen Again

morrigirlDUDE, today I got to drive for the very first time ever. I FUCKING. DROVE.
Greg took me out to an elementary school near his house and I drove around in the parking lot. I learned how to start the car, adjust the mirrors, get the car to go straight, turn, do a three point turn, and go around curves. It was awesome! Now I understand why fifteen and sixteen year olds are always like "Oh, oh can I drive the car? Please? Just down to the corner and back? Okay, then just out of the driveway?"
Greg has a sports car so the steering wheel is really stiff. I kind of liked that because it made me feel like I had more control over the car. But the engine was so damn sensitive I barely had to tap the gas to make it go. In fact, I kept my foot off the gas most of the day. It was the only way to keep the darn thing at a manageable speed.
But, I had fun, and now I've had my first driving lesson. Go me!
