Yay for South Dakota that refused to ban abortion!

Yay for Arizona that refused to ban gay marriage!

Yay for Missouri that decided to back stem cell research!

Yay for the Democrats who took back the House!

It's a good day to be liberal.

I'm a REPUBLICAN and I'm happy with the results (well, I consider myself more of a "conservative libertarian", but I'm registered as a republican)! The current administration saddens me and makes me embarrassed for my party. :/

I didn't know you were a libertarian. A good chunk of my friends are libertarians, most of whom started out as republicans. Though, I have to admit I'm not too informed on what it actually means to be a libertarian.

I'm a registered democrat but...I don't really think I am one anymore, or rather not a conventional one. I lean a little further left than they do, but I stop just short of socialist. I usually describe myself as a radical democrat :-D

I always considered myself more of a "liberal republican". The current state of the GOP is dissappointing to even a lot of other republicans. My father is a politician and he's a republican, and my mother heads the republican committe in the town I grew up in. I guess it rubbed off on me.

I'm rather liberal on social issues (women's rights, gay rights), but I'm somewhat of a capitalist at heart and I'm quite conservative on a lot of other issues.

I feel you. I'm sort of the same way. I'm liberal on pretty much all social issues, but there are one or two issues I side with the conservatives on, namely the death penalty and gun control. And I value capitalism too much.

You're dad's a politician? Nifty! What's he do, if I may ask?
