I know it's a bit late, but all I have to say to you about the outcome of season 2 is this:
1) I was happy to see Chloe win. I thought she deserved to win. In fact, just before part two if the finale started I turned to my mom and said, "You know, all the magazine articles and web forums are talking about the final runway shows as though it's a competition between Daniel and Santino, I think it would be awesome if Chloe came from out of nowhere and took the win." After seeing all three collections in motion I have to say I liked hers the best.
2) I'm pleased as punch that Santino was finally auf'd. I thought he should have been tossed during the lingerie challenge. I don't care what the hell he designs, there's nothing I hate more than arrogance and blatant shows of disrespect towards people who are more knowledgeable than you. I liked some of his clothing, but his attitude was unbearable. Good bloody riddance.
3) And while I'm on the topic of Santino I have some wisdom to impart upon the poor, misguided soul:
Dude, just because you are good at being yourself on a reality television show does not mean you have a future in television. It does not mean you can act, it does not mean you have the technique to carry a talk show, it does not mean you are funny enough to make people laugh without the help of a really fucking awesome team of editors. It just means you are good at playing yourself. Anyone can do that. Stick to fashion design.
4) What's up with all these freaks born after 1985 complaining that Chloe shouldn't have won because her collection was too 80's inspired? WHAT THE FUCK?! I remember the 80's, I was there, and they didn't look a THING like what Chloe showed at fashion week. The 80's were about powersuits, shoulder pads, and pastels. I didn't see any of that in her show, did you? The people making this criticism are by and large under 22, have no vivid memories of the 80's, and have no fucking idea what they are talking about. Kids, don't go around thinking the shit you see on I Love the 80's encapsulates everything that occured during the decade. Nostalgia is not an accurate potrayal of days gone by, remember that.
5) I love Daniel Vosovic. I was rooting for him from day one because he was a cute New York transplant. Even so, based on his final collection, I didn't think he deserved to win. The stuff he came up with during the challenges was way more interesting than the stuff he showed at fashion week. Don't get me wrong, I liked his collection, I'd be interested in buying most of it, but it didn't wow me. And, no, admitting that does not make me a bad Dan fan. I can admire the hell out of someone and still think they missed the mark.
6) The fan girls really need to stop taking this shit so seriously. Lighten up, it's just fashion!
