To whom it may concern -

Who the hell invented allergy season? If I ever fucking find out I'm gonna personally tar and feather the indiviuals. Yes, my allergies have kicked in full force today and wouldn't you know it, I ran out of meds yesterday. So I've been itching and sniffing and coughing and hocking all day long. As usual I'm produciing more phlem than I have orifices for it to ooze out of. I'm gonna have to go to the pharmacy tomorrow and get s'more.

And speaking of tomorrow, eveyone thinks it's gonna be Flunk Day. I think it'll be some time this week. Don't know if it'll be tomorrow, but if it isn't I'm gonna bet it'll be Wednesday. Oh well, here's to hoping *raises Pepsi can and takes a swig*

And as I said I would, I went to go see Deserters last night. Okay, the damn thing was 3 hours long and had 6 characters, when it couuld have EASILY been a two character one act!!! I don't know what the hell Ross was thinking when he wrote it!!! I mean, okay it was nice to see explicit depiction of male homosexual activity on stage. But other then that the show was hardly revolutionary.

First off, it was terribly self-indulgent. There were too many monologues and NONE of them helped move the story along. Second, there were too many sub plots that had nothing to do with the main idea and that were never really tied up in the end. If you ask me, Ross could have cut the entire first act and the show would have been exactly the same! Could've gotten rid of 4 of the 6 characters, and the main idea would've remained intact! In writing class they teach us to condense our prose into the simplest most concise words that will successfully communicate our point. I don't know who Ross has been studying with but he obviously never learned. And I don't know how Robin and Liz, both being members of his honors committee, let him get away with it!!! They both know good writing and they both know good theater and they both gave him A's on this assignment! WHAT?! I can only guess that the A was for effort because it sure as hell wasn't for content.

On a happier note, I bought my first portable CD player yesterday :) See my walkman broke a couple weeks ago, and you know me, can't live without my music. I was gonna buy another walkman, but then I realized that I listen to my CD's way more often then I listen to my tapes these days. And I always wind up taping songs from CD's onto blank tapes so I can listen to them while I go for my walks. So when I went to K-Mart yesterday I just decided to cut out the middle man and buy a portable CD player instead of a new walkman. It was considerably more money, about 50 bucks, but the sound quality is superb. And unlike CD players of the past, this one doesn't skip when you move it around. I walked from my house to the music library with it on my belt and it didn't skip once!!! I'm so psyched. I love my new CD player :)

*big sneeze* blasted hay fever!
