Everything's Coming Up Kittens
Mar. 22nd, 2003 10:45 pmI tried to write this entry Wednesday night, but my computer froze half way through, and I had to shut the darn thing down. Lost everything I wrote. Stupid AOL :-p
But anyway, the last few days have been pretty spiffy. Got my grades Wednesday. That was funny. Okay, we all remember my Writings by Feminists of Color class right? We remember that I exceeded the maximum number of allowed absences by the first week, right? And that I never turned in a single daily response? And I only turned in one batch of journal entries? And I never did my final presentation for the class? And I turned my final paper in three days late? And we all remember that I was scared as all shit that I was gonna fail, right?
Alright, I dunno what the hell Magali was smoking when she put the grades in, but for some retarded reason she gave me an A!!! An A people! I was floored! I SOOOOO didn't deserve an A. Not that I'm gonna argue about it. No no no. I've never been one to look a gift horse in the mouth. However, I am now convinced that all the female social theory profs are on dope! Serious. The only other A I've gotten during my time at Knox was from Yvonne and lord knows I didn't exert much effort on that class either.
So that was a very pleasant surprise.
And Wednesday mom took the day off of work so we could spend some quality time together, I. E. go shopping. She bought me a new pair of sandles, and three t-shirts from Old Navy. Other then that we just kinda browsed around. Looked in Urban Outfitters, and H & M. Went to K-Mart hoping to find humidifier filters, but with no luck. I usually don't enjoy shopping with my mother; we always seem to get into these really stupid fights, but Wed. was nice.
And then the war started. That kinda put a damper on the day. I could go in on how fucking idiotic this entire thing is and how so very not warrented it is, but I have to get on a train in a couple hours and I still need to pack so fuck that.
Met Josh on Thursday. That was very nice. We met by the arch in Washington Square park. And he gave me a rose which was very sweet of him. We went to this little cafe by the park and had coffee and just talked. He's such a sweetie. He's totally funny, and geeky in that fabulous way that I really like. He's not the most handsome fella in the world but completely makes up for it by being incredibly fun to talk to and spend time with. He walked me to 23rd St. when all was said and done, and gave me a goodnight kiss that I really wasn't expecting. Mainly because I didn't think we were on a date. I thought we were just hanging out. Kisses are meant for dates right? Well, one way or the other he was a good kisser and we decided to hang out in central park yesterday. Which we did. Until it began raining. And then we went back to his place. I'd love to tell you more but rules of decency prevent me from doing so. The rest is just for me.
But anyway, it's time to...I dunno. work on my incomplete? pack? go back to sleep? Take your pick.
