A Nice Thing in the World
Jan. 4th, 2006 02:50 pmI'm coming down with something. Maybe it's a cold, maybe it's another sinus infection, maybe it's the plague. With dining services closed while the students are on vacation I had to go into Bronxville for lunch. Michelle was kind enough to drive me, and when I asked if she knew of anywhere I could get a nice cup of chicken soup, dropped me at A'Mangiare, a little Italian pizza parlor that served me some perfectly acceptable chicken noodle soup.
I had to get a cab back to campus. Turned out the driver, Sal, lives in my neighborhood and gave me tips on where the best places to eat were. He was pretty young and kinda cute. We said shy noncommittal things about hopefully running into each other some time. It made me feel nice.
