I haven't left the house at all today. Even though it's gorgeous outside I just haven't felt the need to leave. I'm not depressed or anything, I'm just perfectly happy to sit here at my computer writing emails and playing The Sims.

I love this computer. It has become my life as sad as that sounds. While it would be nice to have friends I could go out and do things with, fact of the matter is I don't. Dee and Elisaeth never want to do anything and I don't know anyone else. i'm not even sure how to meet people.

There's a question for the masses, how do you meet people? I know people say you should join organizations and groups that you find interesting in hopes of meeting like minded individuals but, what if you don't like anything? Seriously, I don't like anything that requires socialization or effort, so what the hell is a lazy ass like me suppose to do to make friends?

Sometimes I just like staying at home. Entertaining myself can be more fun than making others entertain me. I know what I like and I know how to most effectively releive my own boredom....Sometimes. It's been peaceful round here today. I wish it could stay like that.

Mom and I are going to "talk" about my tooth tonight. I hope that means she's gonna whip out the money to pay for it to be taken out and command me to call an orothodontist tomorrow. Here's hoping.

I find the ebst way to meet people is to go out and just hang around somewhere that's enjoyable to be.. a bar, a book shop, a coffee house.. and eventually people just say hi and get to know you and there ya go... you know people. *shrug*

My life is very random, so I dunno...

i know exactly what you mean. Yesterday was gorgeous outside but i didnt feel like making myself look acceptable enough to go outside. All I had to do was homework, and I can do that fine in the comfort of my own apartment. I think that's part of the reason I never made it to the beach this "summer." I just never felt the need to leave my apartment or make the effort to look presentable.

and I dont know how to make new friends really either, not even when i see hundreds of people at school every day

And oral surgeons remove wisdom teeth, not orthodontists. Orthodontists are the sadists that give you braces.

I find it's easy to meet people in an environment where you're comfortable and knowledgeable. Occasionally I will meet a person if they have a question about a software item, or I will comment on something that they are looking at. The same holds true in bookstores. In places such as amusement parks and county faires, it is even easier sometimes. Simply find something that seems to interest the person and strike up a conversation.

You could always try meeting people online. You're taking the risk that they're psycho killers or something, but then, really, meeting them IRL first doesn't really preclude that possibility either.
