I Hate Technology
Oct. 2nd, 2005 10:29 pmDear Journal,
Hello, my name is Carla and I'm pissed off.
Why? Because my TV just broke. It broke at exactly 9:00PM this evening. It was fine all afternoon. I watched Fairly Oddparents and Danny Phantom and UFO Files and 60 Minutes. Shut it off around 8:00 to go do my laundry. returned at 9:00, turned on the set, allw as well for one minute and then the TV turned itself off. I tried turning it back on, same thing happened, and continued to happen for the next 20 minutes. So I called Cablevision thinking maybe there was something wrong with the cable connection. I troubleshot with a customer service rep for about 15 minutes. I unplugged the power supply, reset the box, and when all was said and done she determined the problem was not my cable connection it was the TV itself.
So I turned to the instruction manual. Tried out all the solutions in the troubleshooting section related to my problem. None of them worked. My TV just decided to start malfunctioning for no reason. So tomorrow I get to call the Toshiba Customer Service line and see what they can do for me. I'll tell you one thing, this TV isn't even a year old yet so they better fucking replace it free of charge though I can't remember whether or not it's under warrenty. I no longer have the recipt.
I may just have to spend another 200 bucks I don't have on a new TV/DVD combo. It won't be a Toshiba this time.
Thank you,
Me
