The birthday list and other such nonsense

About an hour ago I sent my resume in to this law firm that's in need of a Library Assistant. Just checked my email and the Human Resources Manager has already emailed me back saying she'd like to speak further with me. She left her phone number. That's good, right? I'll have to call her before I go out on tomorrow's interview.

In other news: my give-a-shit-o-meter is now officially broken.

Walked down to Virgin on my lunch break. They have the first season of Pete and Pete. I'm gonna go buy it after tomorrow's interview.

I feel the need for stuff. And since my birthday is only a month and a day away I figure it's time to compile a birthday list. Here's what I want/need:

New sneakers
New sandals
Button down shirts
New slacks
A clothes hamper
A paid livejournal account
Money
New bras
New socks
Tickets to see Aimee Mann at Roseland on June 10th (that would have to be an early gift)
Seasons 3-6 of Homicide: Life on the Street on DVD
A printer

How 'bout nice shiny jewelry?

In other words, in about a month, expect a package from me containing a few things from that list. And a few that I decided to toss in there just because it's me.

Don't worry, I promise that I won't include any severed body parts.

At least, not from anyone you know.

Well, I usually include a "Not A Snowball's Chance in Hell" portion of my birthday list in which I list all the stuff I want but will never get, and I usually put expensive jewelry on that list. But I was feling optimistic when I wrote this entry so I didn't want to dwell on all the stuff I wouldn't get.

So, you're gonna send me shiney stuff? :-D :-D :-D

I'll have to figure out an appropriate way to thank you for it.
