A couple questions for those of you paying back student loans:

A) If you've consolidated, which company did you go through?

B) Are you pleased with the service? Why or why not?

(not that I'm paying them back yet) I consolidated through the Fed. Gov't, not one of the multitude of companies that keep calling me, and I'm going to consolidate through them again - the Direct Loan people - they should have a number on your statement

now if only I could consolidate all those pesky private loans I also have

I second that. I am applying through a link I got on the Direct Loan website. I trust that more than a random private company. To me, it seems to be the only option because there is NO way I can pay as much as they want.

I consolidated through CFS Suntech Loan Services, LLC.

I am very happy with them. I pay 50 bucks a month, which is more than I have to, and the extra goes straight to my premium. In addition, I locked in at a very low rate. Give them a look-see.
