morrigirlMy night was made round about 9:00 PM.
That's when Clark called to announce he was on campus.
I'd spoken to him online a couple days ago, and had listened to him whine about how bored he was at home. I just suggested he go back to DC. Of course secretly I was thinking "well when the hell are you gonna get your stank ass down here, huh?" Well I guess he read my mind, cause he decided to come down here on the off chance he may find some excitement in G-burg (HA!)
I was the first person he called after arriving on campus. He came over and the two of us just sat around shooting the shit for an hour or so. Round 10 we went out to the Gizmo so he could accidentally run into more people he knew.
An thus began my first extended Gizmo socializing experience of the term.
The two of us went our separate ways once we reached the Giz because he wanted to talk to different people then I did. T was there. So I went and sat with her. Then Matt L. came back and he sat with us. Then Megan Bartholomey came over and talked to T. So did Kathleen. Then T left, and Matt and I spoke a little more. After he left I went and sat with Marisa and Mike Bierbaum. We were soon joined by Heather H. Then Mike left. Then Rob came and sat with us. By then it was almost midnight, and I was getting tired, so I left just as Wes joined the party :). By then Clark had come and gone from the Giz numerous times. He was re-entering just as I was walking out, so I told him goodnnight and we agreed to hang out tomorrow at some point.
Anyone from Knox knows how very satisfying it is to just see how long you can stay in the Gizmo before you run out of people to talk to. The longer you can sit there, the more popular you feel.
You know how I was feeling lonely earlier in the day? No more :)
