All the Small Things

morrigirlI got an idea for a story today! I wrote the first page during my sixth hour shift in the library. I'm really excited since it's been almost a year since I've written any new fiction, and I think this idea has a lot of potential. I don't really want to go into great detail about it though. You know how superstitious I can get with my writing.
Our lab assignment for next week is to condition a virtual lab rat named Sniffy to despense food to himself. Dude, I totally had him trained within a half hour, no shit! Unfortunately I had problems saving the program to my home account so now I have to start all over. I don't really mind though. It was kinda fun watching Sniffy creep around his virtual cage, and strangely rewarding to see him respond to the conditoning excersises. Damn I need a pet.
Got my Catch rejection letter yesterday. Yes, the writing elite of Knox still consider me a pariah. I swear I SOOOO want Laura and Marc to run out of people to do Weekly Forum so they have to resort to asking the second tier writers like myself to read. I want to have the pleasure of turning them down. Last year I would have jumped at the chance, but now...I just really don't like what Weekly Forum has become. It's not about all the writers in the community coming together and sharing anymore. Instead it has turned into a show case for the writing elite and EXCUSE ME, but don't we already HAVE one showcase for that crowd? It's called Catch?
Heather, Gayle, and the rest of the crew are arriving tomorrow. Still haven't heard from Heather and have no idea when she'll be showing up. Chris and Steffi are getting here in the afternoon, and Gayle and Evie will be here later in the night. I can't wait to see them. Gayle and Heather, I've seen them every year for five years. Fall isn't fall anymore without them.
Oh and last night our conflict with the loud ass Fuji's upstairs came to a head, and I finally gave in and wrote Craig Southern about the situation. He hasn't gotten back to me yet, but I hope he is working to remedy the situation I. E. SEPARATE THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS UPSTAIRS!
Goddess, my room is such a mess, I need to clean it before the girls get here.
Oh and guess what? Tomorrow is National Coming Out Day so today outside the caf Common Ground was giving away free pins and rainbow flags and what not. I picked up a pin that says "Girls wil do Girls." :) I've got it proudly displayed on my backpack.
So those are all the small things.
