Just woke up from a 5 hour nap. Mmm I needed that. Power is still on, and the news says the blackout officially ended at 9:03 PM.

Looks like I'll be up all night. Nothing unusual about that. At present I'm trying to figure out how to upload a picture onto my journal. I know how to do icons, but I don't know how to display photos, and the FAQ isn't really helping me.

Anyone? Anyone?

3:00 AM: Thanks Allie, you were a big help. Look everyone, this is the pic I took of myself on the new webcam approximately 5 minutes before the power went out yesterday.

I think you're very attractive, but then I've always had a thing for Latino/Italian women. I don't go for looks, but I do like your look. I don't say it lightly either. I'm sorry you had a bad experience at school....so did I. And it lives with you into adulthood, I've found.

Ok, the thing about flying is that it's STILL the safest mode of transport. I know it's hard, but you've just got to try and say "fuck it, I'm not letting nasty little fucks ruin the way I want to live my life". So if you want to see Europe....do it. I used to fly a lot when I had a girlfriend in CA and I can honestly say that I never really gave it all much thought. I hate flying for different reasons....I just find it boring and because of my height, I get cramp.

Which icon do you mean BTW? Neither of them are me. One is Layne Staley from Alice In Chains, The other is Scott Weiland from Stone Temple Pilots.

I'm not quite ready to conquer my fear yet. And it's not like I have any money at the moment, so whats the point if there's no chance of me getting out to Europe anytime soon? I have more pressing things to worry about, like finding a job, an apartment, mental help.

I was talking bout the one with sunglasses and the scarf. I love that icon, it's so great!

That's Scott Weiland then....the lead singer of one of my favourite bands, Stone Temple Pilots.

THAT'S Weiland? Damn, I totally didn't recognize him. I like a few STP songs, I'm not a huge fan though. Certainly don't own any of their albums. Though I still secretly yearn for a return to the grunge era. I "found myself" so to speak in the flannel and doc martens of the early 90's
