Rollerbabies

morrigirlWe had the BEST time this afternoon. Apparently we have a roller rink here in Galesburg. (Who knew?!) The entire senior class was invited to go and skate care of the school. So Gayle, Steffi, Heather and I went!
About one third of the graduatig class showed up. Mary Morales, Katy, Clark, Moses, Jacob, Brent, Slick, Rhea, Amber, Hannah, Erin Farb, Brooks, Norm, and Pam were all there.
I hadn't been skaing in 12 years so it was a real treat. It took me a few minutes to get the hang of it but pretty soon it all came back to me. Steffi and I were totally cruising around like pros! Heather couldn't remember how and kept falling down. Ditto for Norman :) They were cute. Moses, Clark, and Jacob kept racing each other around the rink.
There were two races, Erin Rockwood won one and Moses won the other. Erin also won the limbo competition :) And Steffi, Gayle and I skated around during the friendship skate :)
I had SOOOOOOOO much fun today. Honestly, I just couldn't stop smiling even when I was falling down. I LOVE skating SOOOOOOO much. If I had a pair of roller skates I'd do it all the time. Blades just don't do it for me. They are too much like ice skates and I don't like ice skates.
Now I'm all sweaty and gross but it doesn't matter because I am happy happy happy.
Think I'll go add roller skates to my birthday list.
