I would love to play the drums but I doubt I have the coordination required. Same goes for the piano.

I'm thinking about calling up my brother Greg and asking him if he'd teach me how to play the guitar. Don't think I have the coordination for that either, but I've been so bored recently I'm thinking I'd like to learn a new skill. Something completely un-computer related. Greg really tears it up on guitar, he's been playing for...well longer then I've been alive. He tried to teach Michael once, but Mike wouldn't practice. When I get home from work at night, all I have is time. I usually watse it playing Sims 2 but even that's starting to bore me. There's no pay off. I could easily spend an hour or two strumming the same two chords over and over again. I'm scared to ask him though. I'm afraid he'll say no. Don't know why that bothers me so much. Greg has told me no to many things over the years, and it never frightened me.

I wouldn't mind taking voice lessons again either. I have a pretty voice, but only when I'm taking care of it. It has been four or five years since I touched a vocal warm up. I can't do any of the pretty operatic vocal shit I was able to when I was in Lillian's class.

I want to learn an instrument. I want to be musical.

Failing that, or perhaps in addition to it, I'd like to start acting again.

I begged my mom for piano lessons when I was little. She wouldn't let me take them, she said I'd hate it.

What the hell? You should let you kids pursue opportunities, not pre-decide from them what they’re going to hate.

I agree. She just assumed that because she hated having to take piano lessons when she was a child that I would too.

my mom wouldn't let me have violin lessons because my other 2 sisters had done it and she said that was enough music in one house. She even grounded me when I brought homne a violin and made me take it back...then i was kicked out of lessons because she wouldn't buy me a music book and I coudl never practice.
