I Love Bryce

morrigirlWent to Bryce and Xin's art showing tonight. Very good. I was one of the first to arrive because I didn't want anyone else to bid on the painting I wanted. I was all ready to pounce. Bryce was looking quite dapper, all shaved in nice pants and a dress shirt. I'd never seemed him look so clean cut.
Anyway, I went right up to Bryce and was like "Okay how does this thing work?" And he said "Well you tell me what painting you want and then we haggle over the price." Of course I FLEW over to the blue one that I fell in love with on Tuesday. I found out it was titled "Slow and Cool" though Bryce claims he was really close to just naming it "Carla's" since I had told him that was the one I wanted.
So I asked him how much he wanted for it. He said "For you, 10 dollars." I was amazed! I mean this is not a small painting, nor a lifeless one. In fact a lot of people who I'm sure would have paid much more were admiring it. I think it was one of the more popular paintings. But because Bryce is a sweetheart he let me have it for 10 bucks. I love him now! Even more than I did before :)
Mary, Gayle, and Tina all bought some of his work too. So now we all own original Bryce Porters. I'm sure they will be worth millions some day. And Tina was saying how we are going to have the most decorated apartment next year. Both of us plan on buying some of Glenda's paintings when her show goes up, ditto for Meghan Wilbar, and we both bought Bryce's stuff so our living room is going to be covered in orgiginal Knox art work. :)
Oh and let me add that MARC was at the show as well. He and I walked past each other like 10 times and did he say hello to me once? OF COURSE NOT! He didn't even LOOK at me or acknowledge I was even there! GODDESS he so needs to get over this! Like I've said before, I don't expect to be his friend but I do expect him to act CIVIL towards me. Talk about immature.
Anyway afterwards we all piled into the round room and watched Mulholland Drive. Afterwards we all went home and spent several hours on the internet looking up various interpretations so we could figure out what we had just seen. Uh yeah we didn't get it. But Katie sent me a link that kind of explains it and it makes a teenty bit more sense now. Even so I'm calling Mike tomorrow to ask what his take on it was.
