What's wrong with posthumously? It's got such a cool pronunciation. I used to think it was post-hummously, like what happens after you eat weird stuff from the health food store. Paschewmuslee. It's fun!

I'll admit, it's mucho fun to say. It's the meaning that bothers me. Recognition after death. It's just so depressing! Jerry Orbach got his first and only SAG Award for playing Lennie Briscoe posthumously. WTF? He gave an amazing performance everyday of the 14 years he was on Law & Order, SAG should have given him some recognition while he was still kicking. Posthumous anything just pisses me off Grrrr.
