Hello Me,

It got really cold last night. This week, the temperatures are going to start dipping into the forties after sunset. I left my window open all night and I think having all that cool air blowing on me has caused me to catch a cold. I woke up this afternoon with a bad sinus headache that persdisted into the early evening. Got so bad I had to lay down. That consequentially led to a three and a half hour nap, so now I'm all revved up.

Missed Other Mike's call tonight. He was suppose to call at 8, I was out by 7.

While I was in the bathtub this afternoon the lady who interviewed me at New York Institute of Technology left a messege on my machine. She said she was getting ready to leave the office but that I should call her tomorrow. Now I'm worried. If she were going to hire me I think she would have said so in the messege. I mean, good news is welcome no matter how it gets to you. Given the fact that she didn't say what she wanted I can only assume two things A) she wants to call me in for another interview, or B) she doesn't want to hire me at all. Let's hope it's the former rather than the latter. I'm gonna call her first thing in the morning. So everyone out there pray for me, or cross your fingers, or do whatever you do when you want to send someone good mojo. I'm gonna need it. I'm so scared.

That's right!!!! I am the new library assistant at the New York Institute of Technology!!!! *jumps up and down, squeels with delight* I got it i got it i got it!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my god I am so overwhelmed and excited!!!!!! I start on Thursday, salary is 22,500 a year, and i'm just...beyond words at this point.

I have my first post-grad job. How sweet is that?

I think I'm gonna spring for the Sims Makin Magic expansion pack as a celebratory gift to myself as soon as the darn thing comes out. I also like kily's idea of getting my wisdom teethe takin out, although I'm wondering if I should wait until my health coverage kicks in to go for that. Either way, she's right, I have the money to pay for it now so one way or another the suckers are coming out.

Went for a walk this afternonn anddo you know there is a Petco in my neighbourhood? Who the hell knew? Anyway, I went in to look at their fish selection since I've always said as soon as I got some money I was gonna get some new fish and an aquarium, and they have goldfish for 12 cents a piece. Think of how many I could buy for a dollar! I like the cheap fish, they're the ones with the most character. So I think that's gonna be another item on the splurge list. I sure have missed having pets. I loved my old fishies. This time around I'm gonna be sure to get a tank with a lid. Don't want anymore suicides.
