I was a good girl today. I went down to the Social Security offices to apply for a new card. Stood in line for 2 hours just to have the lady behind the desk take my application and say "It'll come in the mail in two weeks." What nonsense. But I feel accomplished even if it was a waste of my time, time that I could've spent...watching talk shows or eating grilled cheese sandwiches.

I have this new "one thing at a time" schedule going on. Everyday I do one and only one thing on my "to do" list. Yesterday I did laundry, today it was social security, tomorrow...I haven't figured out yet. Point is, my body is still re-adjusting to city life so I'm taking things slow. I can only walk for so long, can only be on my feet for so long, can only concentrate so long. Need to build up my energy stores once again. I KNOW WHAT I'M GONNA DO TOMORROW!!!!! I have to go down to the Strand and sell books.

Hmm, I had more to say, but as per usual I've forgotten what it was. Guess you'll just have to wait till it comes back to me. *shrug*

*thunk*

I've been productive today. So proud of myself. Went down to Social Security and stood in line for two hours so I could apply to get a new card. Whoop dee doo. And yesterday I did laundry *pats self on back* I'm on a roll here. Tomorrow I'm gonna be REAL ambitious and haul my cookies down to the Strand to sell some books. Yee Haw.

:-p

What's it been? A week? A week and already my mother is getting on my nerves. Someone remind me why I thought this whole moving back home thing was a good idea?

And in case anyone forgot, my birthday is on FRIDAY!!! It's the big 2 4 for me. A word to the wise: gift certificates from Barnes and Noble always fit ;)
