Having Thoughts - SCN

I would love to write a paper comparing and contrasting the film and print versions of The Virgin Suicides. I think Sofia Coppola found threads of the story that Eugenides either wasn't consciously aware of writing or purposely left untouched and unexamined in the book. I'm more inclined to think the latter after the interview I just read with him. Coppola changed the perspective and that changed the outcome of the story. Not plotwise, but conceptually.
