Sixth Avenue Heartache

I haven't heard that song in ages, and wouldn't you know, the day that I listen to it after an indeterminate hiatus, I see the object of my affection holding hands with a nice pretty girl who isn't me. And it's a girl who I know and like so therefore I can't hate her.

So I'm a little sad. Even though I knew I never had a chance with him. It's a good thing I installed that on/off switch on my emotions a few years ago. You don't know what a relief it is to be able to choose who you will let yourself like. Now that I know he has a girl I can't like him any more. Flick emotions to off.

In other news: We now have set dressing which basically consists of a whole lotta wood chips and straw strewn about the stage. Makes the surface VERY slippery. I ALMOST fell tonight as Ben and I were sprinting off stage, but he was good enough to catch me this time. Tomorrow I'm gonna ask him to hold my hand as we run off stage just so he can catch me again if I slip. Chris Storey on the other hand, bit the dust during the chicken reel and injured his calf. Missed his cue for the fight scene because he was getting bandaged up. I think Craig Choma might just be trying to kill us.

I'm gonna mark this day on my calendar, it was the first time I recieved POSITIVE notes from Amber and Liz. They said my scene was great tonight. They were actually laughing. And they loved the moment between Dave and I where I lift up my skirt to fix my stocking. I was very happy.

Mikey arrives tomorrow :D YAY!!! I'm currently laundering his bedding and cleaning my room. I can't wait to see him. I'll prolly drag him to the theater after he gets in so he can hang with us backstage. I'm so excited. This is gonna be so fun. Even if he is sick :(
