Oh Bloody Hellmouth

They should have an image of a TV on here. I just got finished watching the season ender of Buffy for a second time. Last night I went over to Gayle and Mary's and watched it on video. Gayle's sister taped it earlier in the week and sent it to her. It was stupendous! I was all screaming and shit. Ripper came back, and Willow went all freaky, and Xander saved the day, and SPIKE GOT HIS SOUL BACK!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to talk to Christopher! After class I am going to run down to his room and insist that he spend at least a half hour with me theorizing about what will happen next season!

Oh wait, can't do that. I have a full day planned for myself tomorrow. Must go to the doc and get my meds, must got to the mall, meet with Melissa Helquist, and cash my paycheck. Wait....tomorrow is Memorial day, everything will be closed. Okay forget everything I just wrote. We'll move it on back to Tuesday.

It has been a pretty chill weekend. Last night T and I went to see the Formal Dance Concert. All of them sucked except the last one, which was of course choreographed by Katy Biver. The girl really out did herself this time. The piece was danced to System of a Down and she had all the girls dressed up in three piece suits acting uber-masculine and obnoxious. At the end one of my suitemates, Lindsay, got to strip down to her skivvies and run through the audience. It was very entertaining.

After the concert T went over to...you know who's place to watch a movie. She didn't come home until 10 this morning. I said to her, "You were having crazy naked sex werent you?"

T: We weren't naked.
Me: Ah but you do not deny the crazy sex part!
T: We didn't have sex. We had crazy smoochies!

I'm glad at least one of us is getting some action. Really they are too cute. They IM each other all the time now, and they took a walk together this evening. And they laugh at each other and...I think it's really sweet. They both deserve a good thing like this. Damn shame it didn't happen sooner.

Also I'm reading this book right now about women's creativity and I am totally disagreeing with everything the author says. She claims that women's creative process is holistic and that men's is linear. Her hypothesis is in complete opposition to all the studies I've read in Teaching Writing class. There IS no naturally occuring difference in male and female thought process. Most people create holistically, even though society insist that we create linearly. If there is such a division in gender thought process (and my sources say there isn't) then it is socially imposed.

What really annoys me is that this woman advocates total integration of the psyche yet she opperates within a dualistic framework by setting men and women up against each other as polar opposites.

I'm So Goth

Well, I got everything squared away with my profs today. I'm all set. Incompletes are all official, I'm made in the shade.

And seeing how great Alyson Hannigan looked on buffy last night has inspired me to go goth today. I'm wearing my bitch boots, velvet skirt and tank top, black lipstick and thick black eyeliner. And I straightened my hair last night so I look all dark and mysterious. Everyone has been telling me how great and sexy iIlook, Gabe, Dave, Insiyah, Lauren, Jennie. I was hoping Gemma would be at lunch so I could show her, but she wasn't. Only she can REALLY appreciate this. Her and maybe Rob, tee hee.

Okay, I just wanted to toot my own horn. Back to the X-Files marathon on FX.

Tris the Destroyer

Late Breaking news from the den of Mary and Gayle,

Dave Urlakis is over there as we speak hiding from Tris who apparently pulled a knife on him. I don't know all the details but Gayle said he was very scared, was calling security, and was so frightened he wasn't planning on eating in the caf tonight. (Actually that would prolly be the safest place for him since Tris is off board and can't eat in the caf.)

Fuckin Tris. She is such a psycho!

Kdc4evr: so dave went over there to confront Tris with the evidence that she plagiarized something in Devised Theatre and he had already talked to the head of the department and he was just telling her that she had till tomorrow to write a letter of apology and send it to the theatre dist list
Kdc4evr: and I guess she also plagiarized something for her playwriting class
Morrigirl: so she wrote something for devised that she claimed was hers and Dave found out it wasnt?

Kdc4evr: dunno, someone prolly recognized it or something

Kdc4evr: but she was all in denial and like Dave, dont do this to me, please and I guess she kept saying that and then she started like pushing him and he said if you do that again im calling security and she did so he picked up the phone and she dove for the knives

Kdc4evr: so he ran down here and called security to make sure she was ok and didnt use the knife on herself

Morrigirl: yeah, good idea. She totally would.
Kdc4evr: yeah, see, thats part of what he was afraid of, he didnt know if she was gonna use the knife on him or use it on herself right in front of him
Morrigirl: Krista has an away message saying she is at Triss so i guess she has support over there. But I will love to see how this plays itself out. If the department already knows I think we can safely assume she wont be back next year.
