I have a lot of books I don't need. Gifts people have given me, volumes I've picked up from the discount bin at Barnes and Noble, books I know I'll never get around to reading, books I read and didn't like, and books I read but simply...haven't felt any desire to return to. These items take up way too much space on my bookshelves so I've decided to get rid of them, make room for some new stuff. And before I haul all 74 of the selected books down to the nearest used bookstore or library, I'd like to see if any of my friends (that would be you :-D) are interested in them. I'd much rather pass them on to people who I know might get some use out of them.

So here is the vast list of books I am looking to unload, arranged alphabetically by subject and author. If you want any, just leave me a comment. Take as many or as few as you desire, the more I can get rid of, the better. It's all free so what do you have to lose? And don't worry if you live out of state or I've never met you or whatever. I'm more than willing to stick a few books in an envelope (or box as the case maybe) and send them to you. There's alotta crap on this list, but there are also a lot of really great reads. And you know what they say, one dog's shit is another dog's dinner, so dig in and help a sister out :-)

Note: Items will be removed from the list as they are claimed. People already on my Friends list have first dibs.

Not to be a pig, but could I lay claim to the poetry, Psych, and writing books? Good college students could always use more books like that.

IM me via AIM @ djdustercoyote or e-mail me dustercoyote at alpha1 dot net and we can work out details?

I would really appreciate it.

Actually my dear, it has not. The person who requested said item is a total stranger to me! He's not on my friends list, I have no clue who he is, and while I'm not oppose to sending stuff to strangers, the people on my friends list have first dibs so, you want it? You got it.

Just send me a name and address and I'll toss it in the mail ASAP.

Howdy Stranger,

I'd be more than happy to unload the requested items upon you, only I wasn't expecting any strangers to request anything lol. So, I want to give the people on my friends list (fellow english majors most of whom I've known for 6+ years) first dibs. Not to worry though, I'm not expecting any of the poetry, psych, or writing books to get snatched up. Not most of 'em anyway. So, as soon as my friends list rings in on what they want, I'd be happy to let you have whatever is left (which will probably be most of the stuff you asked for.) Is that okay? Does that sound kosher?

Do any of your new age books have anything on empathy? I have yet to find a book about it, only managing to find one book that has a short chapter about it. (Its blocking techniques were useful, though.)

If any of them have anything concerning empathy, I'd like to read them.

Yeah, geez... sorry about that... I came here by way of Rydia's log, I'm a friend of hers. Ask her about Duster. She knows about me, but regardless, it was wrong of me to not introduce myself. My name's Bryan, I'm a strugglin' college student, majoring in music, specifically vocal studies. I attend Blinn College in Brenham, Texas, and don't do a whole lot more than go to school, eat, sleep, play guitar, go to rehearsal, and do homework. Thus is the life of a college student.

Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea, now in retrospect, to properly introduce myself, however, day late and a dollar short.

Have a good one, nice meetin' ya?

Unfortunately my dear, none of them do :-( I checked all the indexes, nada. That sucks for me. One less person to unload books upon. Oh well.
From: [identity profile] morrigirl.livejournal.com
Aw, I knew you'd come through Mike :-D Most of said items are in almost pristine shape, so it'll be just like recieving a delivery from Barnes and Noble. I'll stick your copy of "Lost Souls" in with the rest of the delivery.

Also, anything that's left over I'm willing to take as well. ANYTHING.

Even if it is a copy of "Groin Injuries: Debilitating Injury Or Useful Excersize?".

Hola Conquistador,

Sorry for the delayed response, life has been getting the best of me lately. In any case, I've put the books aside for you, however it may take me a few weeks to get them out to you since I'm running low on cardboard boxes at the moment. But rest assured when i come across some more I will send your books out tout suite.
