I don't think my interview went very well. These things aren't suppose to last only five minutes are they? Didn't think so. But I had no idea what to say! I mean, I was expecting this lady to at least ask me a few questions about my work experience or why I thought I'd be good for this job. But all she did was tell me what their comany does, told me what I would be doing, told me the salary, the hours, and when I could expect to hear from them, and then asked me if I had any questions. She had answered every question I had in her little three minute monologue, so I said no.

And that was it.

I don't know what else I was supposed to do? I know I was supposed to "sell myself" but I didn't know how to do it considering she never asked me any questions. If she had asked about my internships I could have told her what I did at them and how good I was at my job. But...I couldn't. I dunno. Maybe my interview skills are rustier than I thought they were. Did I do this all wrong?

Only good thing about this whole debacle is that it really didn't seem like the kind of place where I'd fit in anyway. The offices were just really small, and had a very sterile feel to them. It totally felt like big brother was watching. And it was in a big fancy shmancy Soho building so every one walking around was trying very hard to look like they were too cool and too rich to care about anything.

God I wish Allworth or Yeshiva would call. I would be perfect for both of those positions. Why don't the companies that advertise positions I actually have experience in never call me back? I don't get it.

Haven't really slept yet. Got two hours before I went out. I'm pooped and my head is spinning.

I'm going to bed.

Good day.

no worries carla, sometimes when they dont ask you questions it's because they already like you and want you to like them. I dunno. She sounded busy too.

And some places take a couple weeks to call back. You just have to do follow up phone calls to check on the status of your resume to let them know you're really interested. They may not actually give you any definitive answer, like "we're still sorting through them" but it at least puts your name in their mind.

Good luck!
