Carla and Melly Make a Baby.

Had a lovely time last night with Jeremy. We discovered that I like middle eastern food. Who the hell knew?! He took me to this cute little place on tenth street where we sat outside in a dark corner, bantering and trying to keep the conversation away from politics, a subject we swore we wouldn't discuss but that I somehow kept going back to. After dinner we walked up 1st Avenue to 72nd Street at which point I hailed a cab and headed home. It was nice. Very low key. Jeremy is a funny guy, definitely someone I'd like to hang out with again.
Ooh ooh, guess what?!
No. Guess again.
Sorry, one more try.
No. Okay I'll tell you. I got the greatest news when I walked into work this morning. The renovation team is gonna be doing some heavy construction tomorrow so they're closing the library for the whole day!!! Everyone gets the day off!!! YAY!!!! Three day weekend!!!! I'm so psyched. This means I can sleep late, and then spend all day doing laundry and cleaning my apartment. We don't want John thinking I'm a total slob now do we? Not to mention the fact that my mom is going out of town this weekend (I completely forgot) so I won't have her in my hair, and one of Laura's cousins is coming to visit so she'll be busy with him for most of the weekend. Lots of free time for Carla!!! Yippy!!!
Ooh ooh and Gabe is gonna take me to see Spiderman 2 when I go down to DC *hops happily around the room* I am so desperate to see that movie. I loved the first one. Brother Michael took me to see it a week or two after I returned home last year. It was so much fun. Seeing super hero movies with my brother always is because he's such a comic book whore. We always made a day of it, ya know. We'd go out to eat, and he would regale me with our heroes back story. He'd tell me their whole history, their strength and weaknesses, thier arch enemy's back story, and no matter how old I was I would turn into his 4 year old little sister hanging on his every word. I miss my brother. I really wanted him here when Spiderman 2 openned. If he'd been here you KNOW he would have scored tickets for the midnight showing at the Zeigfeld. It's got the best sound system.
Not looking forward to another slow night. The library has been dead all week causing Don, Dmitriy, and myself to be even more whiney then we usually are. But all is well cause I don't have to work tomorrow :-D
