morrigirlI should have gone to bed an hour ago, but Clark finally decided to call me back after five days and two messages, so I spoke to him, and arranged to go out to his house Thursday afternoon when I get into DC. We shall hang and I might possibly accompany him to band rehearsal. Yes, Mr. Clark plays in a band. He plays bass. And a little guitar. And a little of the drums. I asked him when the hell he learned to play all these instruments, he said over the last nine months while not writing the 120 pages he has to finish before he can graduate in May. Some things never change.
It's a good thing I didn't write this entry earlier in the day because holy Jesus was I pissed off. My boss pulled yet another unannounced schedule change out of her ass today. I knew last week that I would not be working regular hours this week. During spring break the building is only open till 8:00 PM as oppose to 11:00 PM so I just assumed I'd be working the 12-8 shift just as I did during January. No one told me any different. No alternate schedule was posted, no emails were sent, no notes were scribbled. So I come into work at noon today and Elisabete tells me I was supposed to be there at 9. Apparently ALL the full timers have to work 9-5 this week, and since I'm the only full timer who DOESN'T work 9-5 on a regular basis no one remembered to mention it to me. Pissed me off. I ask again, am I supposed to just magically know when my schedule changes? Should I be sensing it? NO!!! I need to be told!!! Since I don't work the same hours as everyone else the higher ups need to TELL me when my schedule is going to change because, hmm let's think a minute here, if I don't know when I'm supposed to work how am I going to show up on time?
Fucking idiots.
Talked to Other Mike as usual. I bought Simcity 4 this weekend and have been playing it nonstop for two days. It's fucking hard. Anyway, I mentioned it to him, he suddenly remembered he had a copy and wanted desperately to play, so I unwittingly sent him on a Simcity 4 binge as well.
I'm kinda nervous and excited about meeting him. Been talking to Mike for 2 and a half years. I'm dying to just throw my arms around him and hug the breath outta him. We're probably gonna hang out most of Friday and Saturday.
And my period STILL hasn't shown up. I've given up on waiitng for it. If it comes while I'm on vacation then, whatever I won't go swimming :-p No big whoop. I'll still be able to do everything else I want to ;-)
