I just got finished watching tonight's episode of Angel. I am crying so hard. I'm crying the way I cried when Al Giardello died on Homicide: Life on the Streets.

Cordy. I can't beleive they killed her. They brought her back to save the entire group from total fracture and then they killed her. It was so sad and so wonderful all at the same time.

And now I'm in mouring. This is what happens when I become emotionally invested in a fictional character. I mourn their loss. I loved Cordelia. I love the way she grew and developed over the course of the series. I love how they turned her around. It hurts to know she's gone for good.

Speaking of gone for good, I was very pleased that they showed Doyle footage tonight. Glenn Quinn died of a drug overdose a little over a year ago. His character hadn't been mentioned on the show since. I'm glad they resurrected his memory tonight.

Yes I know how dorky this all sounds, but I really honestly LOVE the characters I deem worthy enough to hold my attention over time.

You understand that don't you?

I know what you mean. Season and series finales have that effect on me with certain shows. Most notably the second to last Season finale of Buffy when Willow tried to destroy the world and all kinds of messed up stuff was going on. That whole season was just... dark... got very invested in that.

What?! *chokes*

Cordelia was one of my favorite Buffy characters, and basically the only thing that made Angel worth watching. It's a damn good thing I don't have a TV here. I'd be incapacitated with sadness.

akkkkkkk *shock*

I understand, I almost cried too - esp. the way they did it - how the entire show she was already dead but a ghost or something - just... whoa

and I also liked the Doyle footage and how pissed they got that Lindsey had the nerve to call himself Doyle - wonder what's gonna happen with Lindsey & annoying Eve now

It was a very good 100th episode though and even though she's dead I think she'll still be doing some guest spots, based on one of the last things she said - I was expecting her to go be a higher power or whatever again, not die!

I never got personally invested in that show...some characters I have, but the one that most comes to mind is Boromir from LOTR...when he died I cried. It reminded me of when my judo sensei died, so...yeah.

Yeah I loved that season. I loved how they turned Willow into the season's baddy.

But the season finale before that, when Buffy killed herself to save Dawn? THat one tore me up. I STILL cry every time I watch it.

I bet Eve is gonna try to get revenge.

But I agree, VERY nice 100th episode. I love shows that have a sense of their own history.

BTW cool icon.

Truthfully, I never liked Buffy herself much. I was always a Willow, Oz and Xander Fan. I dunno if it's cause of her acting or because of the way the character was supposed to be, but she always annoyed me more than anything by being as dumb as she was all the time. Maybe I just knew too many girls that acted like her.

Although it was a touching moment indeed...
