What I Owe

morrigirlI guess I owe the world a real update, something more than just quiz results.
We had some excitement in the library today. Some shmoe refused to vacate one of the study rooms when the group who'd signed up for it arrived. Took forty minutes and a call to security to get him out. That was fun.
And the drama between Physics John and Mary continues to get jucier. Apparently he wrote her a note today telling her that her paintings suck. Mature don'tcha think? If I'm forty and still acting like that somebody please shoot me.
As I reported earlier this week, we got snow over the weekend and school was closed on Saturday. That was rather novel given the fact that I haven't had a snow day in four years. We got twelve inches and the whole damn city shut down. Back at Knox it took five feet before the president would even start thinking about closing the school.
So I got a much needed three day weekend. Slept in on Saturday, and played Makin Magic for most of the day. (What a fabulous expansion!) That night Mom and I went to Greg Day's surprise birthday party. That was fun. It was at Brother Greg's Soho loft that I'd never seen before. Let me tell you that is one sweet apartment. The world's largest studio. And I saw Giancarlo for the first time in two years, and apparently puberty hit during the interim. He's as tall as I am now, and his voice is all deep. He sounds just like his father. Looks just like him too. It was scary. My siblings are replicating.
Anyway, it was the first party I'd been too and stayed at in...I'd say three years or so. That was due mainly to the fact that most of my family was there. Michael and Danielle chilled with me all night so I didn't feel like a weird outsider. I played around with GC, spoke to Grgeg and Maria. There weren't that many people there due to the snow, and the few that were, came in couples so I didn't have to fend off any unwanted sexual advances. I actually enjoyed myself, so much that Mom and I were the last to leave.
Greg and GC are going to Florida for Christmas and he's offered to let me stay in the loft while their gone. I am all over that!!! Mom and I need a vacation from each other, so between Dec. 20th and Jan 5th I'll have my own place. I'm ecstatic.
We're putting up the tree this weekend. Oh joy :-p
