Match Making
Dec. 4th, 2003 08:10 pmWe had a little Christmas shindig at work today. Eight staff members and two student aids squeezed into our closet sized break room along with a table full of munchies and chowed down for over an hour. I came in an hour early just tto partake of the festivities. Spent the entire time talking to Victor. He is so cool. He makes me smile :-) I swear he and
kdc4evr would be perfect for each other.
Oh and speaking of perfect matches, this afternoon it dawned on me who the perfect girl for Sebastien would be: Heather Frankland! Of course Heather would be the perfect girl for just about anyone, but he would actually be perfect for her in return. They're both English people, both athletic, both a little crunchy granola, both enjoy cooking, and both are the social lights of their perspective groups. Sebastien, like Heather, is one of those people that everyone fucking loves, because he's just nice to everybody and easy to be around.
I'm telling you I could hook up all my friends if any of them had the intelligence to move their asses to New York. I think I'd make a pretty good matchmaker. Given the fact of my nonexistent love life hooking everyone else in my life up would allow me to live vicariously through them. And then bitch about how much time they spend with each other and how little they spend with me :-p
I'm reading Maggie Estep's mystery novel "Hex" right now. It's okay. Already half way through the book and the crime has JUST taken place. She spent 150 pages setting up all the characters and relationships. Still I really enjoy her writing style. I think I'm gonna ask for her book of essays for Christmas.
