There is an incrediably high rate of insanity among master chess players. Studies have found that master players who practice playing against themselves develop major cases of schizophrenia in a relatively short amount of time. At least historically. I honestly think that's what happened with Fischer, because beyond being an anti-semite, he was also a fuckin' nutbag.
