Last Saturday, Greg discovered my first grey hair. It's right in front, falls over my forehead, but luckily it's on the bottom layer so if I'm just wearing my hair normally you can't see it. The only reason Greg noticed it was because I was wearing my hair pulled back in a ponytail that day.

I'm not really surprised. Everyone in my family starts going grey in their late twenties or early thirties. For months I've been saying I was expecting it any day. I was expecting to freak out a little more than I did. I think my exact reaction was something along the lines of a shrug followed by a "meh." I've never been very fussy when it comes to my hair. (Though, it does need a cut before Galesburg. The ends are getting annoying and frizzy.) I'm more concerned about seeing the first sign of wrinkles forming around my mouth, the presence of which will alter my beautiful, perfect, and constantly complimented skin that is one of the few things I am truly vain about. I should stop laughing. And smiling. And talking. Anything to keep my mouth immobile.

When I pointed out my grey hair to Michael last night he said "Welcome to the Club." Thanks, Mike. Thanks.

Mom and I went to see Michael in a play reading last night. He played the part of a young, Tony Bennett typed character. He told us before hand that a lot of his lines reminded him of Pop, that they totally sounded like shit that would come out of his mouth. And, he was right. Even better, Michael was basically playing the character like Pop. He had Dad's accent and his speech patterns down pat. And the fact that Mike's character was a notorious philanderer just added to the realism. He gave a good performance, though the play itself still needs some work.

I still haven't purchased the latest BTVS comic yet. I waited too late and now all the comic shops are sold out. I might have to wait until next month to get my hands on it.

I started using an anti-wrinkle lotion when I get out of the shower. It has made a difference. :-) Prevention is better than curing. Maybe something like that for you if you are worried?

The woman in my family go grey early too. I remember picking on Jenny because of all her greys...it's as if my hair heard these jokes and decided to stick it to me.
