greenblackevil and I sat through that horrible piece of shit movie Dreamcatcher. No, the experience wasn't so memorable that I recall the date off the top of my head, I'm not that pathetic. This morning I happened to read the journal entry I wrote about the experience back on this day in 2003.
To my great delight I can now put that atrocious experience behind me and remember March 30th as the day I saw a really fun musical with my brother. Last night Michael took me to see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. For those of you not in the know, yes, it's a musical based on the movie. I've never seen the movie but the show was hilarious. Jonathan Pryce just replaced John Lithgow in the Michael Caine part. He was just lovely. And Norbert Leo Butz, while being a little too Jack Black for my taste, was great as well in the Steve Martin role. During the scene when Jonathan Pryce shows up as the doctor Butz could not stop cracking up and it was adorable. They looked like they were having a really good time. And I got to see Joanna Gleason live on stage for the first time so that was awesome. Again, for those not in the know, Joanna Gleason = really famous Broadway theatre actress. You may remember her as the woman who originated the role of the Baker's Wife in Into the Woods. All in all it was a good night at the theater. And it was Broadway Cares night so at the end of the show they auctioned off an after show glass of chanpagne back stage with the three principles. It went for $600. I could have gone 700 but I didn't think blowing my rent on alcohol with Jonathan Pryce would be prudent.

All that said, I will join you in a drink to movies, great pizza, and musicals.
