*dances about*

Guess what? Rumor has it that Stupid Girl has dropped our craft class! YAY!!! All the sneers and blank stares did their trick! We ran her out of the class and now we're left with ten highly intelligent and articulate graduate students who actually know their shit.

A couple weeks ago our teacher gave us a writing assignment. We were to write a very simple two page fiction piece centering on a character who moves from one room to another. I have to read mine aloud to the class next week. I HATE what I have. It is tremendously weak compared to the pieces other students have been handing in, and part of the problem is that I couldn't think of any interesting reason why a person would move from one room to another or what situation would prompt such a thing. I can't think of where the person should start and where they should go. I would love it if you all would offer me some ideas. So far I've done a good job of keeping myself from looking like an idiot, I'd like to keep it that way.

And if anyone can actually find me a video clip of Numfar doing the dance of joy I will...I dunno, do something really nice for you :-)

I think you and Adrienne should start up a private detective service. It won't be like anime at all! *shifty eyes* Seriously!

...sorry, but as it usually goes, I don't have computer access much...and have been working my ass off...but, what if you had a character leave the room b/c its an engagement party, and he/she is in love with one of those to be wed?

Or...maybe one character is plotting to kill another...and the whole of the party knows it, the whole group of partiers that is to say, except the one they intend to kill and your character leaves the room to mix the poison? This last is one way it is suspected Alexander the Great died.

Or...maybe the person leaves to retrieve a hidden object with a secret history to be handed down that day to the younger generation?

OOH that sounds like a fun assignment!

The only thought coming to mind is to avoid a swarm of killer wasps.
