Okay, this is starting to get ridiculous. Seems like every time Ben Myers is around I find a way to physically injur myself. First, I fall down the stairs in front of him at rehearsal last week, and today he drops me on my ass!

It was during the people carrying portion of the warm up. Ben and I were the only two left on our side of the room so we had to get each other across. Ben kneeled down in front of me, positioning himself so he could give me a piggy back ride. I climbed on, only he was leaning too far forward, so when I went to put my arms around his neck all my weight spiked forward and I flipped right over his head and onto the floor. Landed right on my hip. Hurt a little, but everyone seemed to find it highly amusing. Later Yaritza told me that she was in the process of being carried when it happened, and she laughed so hard her handlers nearly dropped her.

And speaking of Yaritza, she and I had a little misunderstanding today. we were suppose to reherse this afternoon at 4. In class this morning I confirmed the time with her like I always do. And she said to me "Oh, no I can't. Something else came up, I have to cancel." So I was just like, okay that's fine, and got on with my day; went to class and afterwards went home and napped until dinner time.

Well I ran into Helen in the caf this evening and the first words out of her frownng mouth were "You stood Yaritza up!" And I was like "WHAT?" And she says "Yaritza was waiting to rehearse with you and you never showed up!"

"But she cancelled!" I said.

Luckily Krista was sitting right there and backed me up. She said "Yeah, don't worry about it. Yaritza cancels stuff and then forgets all the time."

I explained the situation to Helen, and she said, "Okay. Well in that case ignore the mean message from me on your voicemail."

"Excuse me?"

"Yeah I called you and bitched you out for standing Yaritza up."

Obviously Yaritza and I had a miscommunication. These things happen. She has had a very busy week and I know she is having a hard time keeping her schedule straight. I'm not mad at her and I'm sure she won't be mad at me.

But even if she was, it isn't up to Helen to police our fuck ups and to fight some one elses battles. She had no right to bitch me out for a mistake that didn't even involve her. That is presumptuous and rude. I understand the whole "we are an ensemble we must take care of our own" mentality. But it's just plain rude to purposely put yourself in the middle of a potential conflict for the sole purpose of fanning the flames.

I now officially hate Helen Drysdale, and am taking comfort in the knowledge that we will not be partnered on the next scene study.

Found out I have three papers due next Friday. Eek. Guess what I'll be woking on this weekend?
