morrigirlBoo Yow!!! I just finished revising "If They Knew." I got rid of a lot of unnecessary description and it no longer sounds like a romance novel gone horribly, horribly wrong. The characters are still pretty flat, but there's really nothing I can do about it. I'd have to re-vamp the entire story in order to flesh them out and there is NO WAY I'm gonna do that with this thing due in T minus 2 weeks and counting.
What's funny is the more I refine the language, the flatter the characters become. I've cut all the stuff that gave the two of them any depth because...well it all sucked. And now they're just totally uninteresting and the only redeeming feature of the story is the plot!!!
But sucky or not, I did it, I revised it, I actually did some fucking work and I'm proud of myself for it :)
