You Make My Heart Sing
May. 16th, 2002 10:29 pmDUCKS! DUCKS! QUACK, QUACK! QUACK, QUACK!
Well we openned tonight. Everything went off without a hitch. It was fabulous!
Mary pumped us up before hand by playing the Ducks song and having us dance around to it. The crowd was unusually big for an openning night which means tomorrow's audience will be HUGE! They sounded like they were having a great time, all laughing and smiling. They even laughed when I shoved the egg beater in my mouth! And everyone really enjoyed the water break where we all broke character and talked to the audience :)
Almost everyone I emailed last night showed up today. Gemma was there, and Will, Gayle, both Heathers, Julie, Steffi, Adrienne *drool*, Jennie. Gemma razzed me after the show and was all like "Oh My God you look SOOOO GOTH!"
I actually really like the make up we are in. I think I may even go out and buy myself some black eyeliner to wear on a normal basis. I like the way it looks on me. It makes me look...well...GOTH!
Catcha later pretty diary,
Carla
PS Oh I almost forgot to tell you the very best part! Okay a lot of theatrical and musical shows are goin up on campus this weekend, on of which is the Six Ways From Sunday Concert (Six Ways is the Knox College resident Barber shop sextet. Six of the cutest most vocally accomplished men on campus, growl) Anyway their show goes up tomorrow while we are performing so we are all gonna miss it. Well we've been bitching to Mary about this for about a week now. So as a surprise for us she got Six Ways to come and sing to us in the green room while we all got ready for the show tonight! Isn't that sweet! There we all were stretching, dressing, putting on make up, with a barber shop sextet serenading us in the background :) I can't tell you how rad it was. Let's see...they sang the Coard Busters Medley and Doug's adaptation of Peter Gabrial's In Your Eyes that I love so much! It was so bizarre. It could have only have occurred during THIS show.
