Who I Never See...

morrigirlThose are the words Tina claims I said in my sleep Saturday night. Weird because those words are not at all in line with what I dreampt about that night. I dreampt that I was taking classes at the Natural History Museum which had magically become a mall as well. Will was there and...maybe I was saying it to him? Anyway in my dream all of my classes were on different floors, the elevator was really slow and the stairs were really steep. So I was always late to class. Never knew that I talked in my sleep. I'm beginning to think that everyone does at some time or another.
Speaking of Saturday night, I got my rest for the entire term that night. I fell asleep at 6 PM and woke up at 6 AM the next day. I felt so refreshed I got up and wrote my whole Marcus Cafagna paper in 2 and a half hours. I was done before lunch!
I just turned in the last of my incompletes, they are all quite done now. Yahoo! Classes this term promise to be very exciting. My African-American Lit. class is huge. Almost all of last terms Philosophy class is in there: Marissa, Adrienne Gardner, and Tina Turner. And me. We are reading the Frederick Douglass and Harriet Jacons narratives first. Tina and I have already read both of them. So I told her we can just sit there and make everyone else look stupid :)
Portfolio doesn't seem as daunting as I imagined it would be. There are a lot of cool people in the class. And it's a lot of independent work. We will be rewriting and revising on our own. The only things we will be workshopping are the 25 page introductions. Not bad. Last night everything was really laid back and comfortable. I don't feel as scared as I thought I would.
And Teaching Writing, that is the topper. Me, Christopher and Norman are the only seniors in the class and the only creative writing majors. So yesterday in class the three of us just sat in a row up front and answered all the questions. We were laughing and cracking jokes. All the other students are under classmen so it looks like the three of us are going to dominate the class :) Fun fun fun.
And Goddess bless Christopher Green, he has now become my official Buffy hook up. He lent me another CD with two more episodes on it :) We are discovering our mutual buffiness together, all we do is talk about past episodes and inside jokes. It's so great!
And my goal for this term is to ask Adrienne Hill out on a date before the end of the year! It now looks like there is a stronger chance that she will say yes. Heather told me that while they were at the GLBT conference in Michigan Adrienne told Cynthia about how we were joking that the two of us should go out since weve both slept with all the same people. Cynthia then asked Adrienne if she would ever seriously consider dating me. And according to Heather Adrienne's response was positive. I'm encouraged. Cynthia is supposedly going to try and encourage Adrienne as well.
I saw Adrienne in Seymour the other day. She cut her hair even shorter over break and she looks even cuter then she used to. Man, I know I like her because I can never think of anything to say when I'm around her. Just being with her broadsides me with dumbness. All I can think to do is hug her and say stuff like "ooo you are soft" :)
Well as Heather H said - "Carla, you are such a girl!"
