Where have I been?
Feb. 2nd, 2005 05:35 pmSick. Again.
Symptoms: Nasal congestion, post nasal drip, vomitting (liquids, not solids,) cold chills (thurs and fri,) hot sweats (sat and sun,) severe hacking cough, sore throat, loss of appetite, slight fever, fatigue (sleeping 15 hours a day,) headache, sensitivity to light and sound, loss of voice.
Diagnosis: ?????????? The doctor I saw on Friday said she wasn't sure. Said it looked like an atypical form of strep or a sinus infection. She wouldn't really commit to either, so she just gave me a whole bunch of generic perscriptions and hoped one of them would help :-p After tending to me for a couple days mom became convinced it was the flu and said my doctor was a quack. I still dunno what it was. Sure didn't feel like a sinus infection. Sinus infections suck but they don't make you pray for death. I think it was probably strep. I lost my voice for three days, and the only other time I've ever lost myt voice was when I had strep Senior year of college. I remember sleeping for 20+ hours a day and hoping the earth would open up and swallow Knox so I wouldn't have to feel like shit anymore. The feelings and symptoms are much more in line with that experience then with flu or sinus infection. That's just my humble opinion.
I've been staying at my mom's all week. There's nothing better then a mommy when you're too sick to move. But because I've been too sick to move, I'm afraid there's nothing new or exciting to report. I've been sleeping. And taking pills. And going back to sleep. And throwing up. Not fun.
The End.
