1) Pick a song. It's more fun if you pick a song that you really love, a song whose lyrics you, or people you know, take too seriously.
2) Google the lyrics for it.
3) Go to http://babelfish.altavista.com and translate the lyrics to the song into a language you don't speak.
4) Cut and paste the results of said translation BACK into the Translate window, and translate it back into English.
5) Post the results of that in your LJ, and enjoy!

The more people tell me I MUST vote, the more I don't want to. I didn't vote in the last presidential election and I don't feel bad about it. Why you ask? Because I'm only registered to vote in one state. That state is New York. Gore took New York as the democrats always do. My one vote was not needed to ensure his victory. Of course one could argue that my vote was needed in Florida, but since I'm not registered to vote in that state, the point is moot.

I hate voting. I really do. I try to avoid it at all cost. The only election I've ever participated in was the...97? 98? New York mayoral election. I voted for Sal Albanese, the independent candidate, and the only reason I bother was because I REALLY did not want Guiliani to get a second term. That's the only reson I'll vote this year. Not because I like John Kerry, but because I HATE Bush that much.

And that's one of the many things I hate about voting, that it's not about voting for the person you genuinely LIKE, it's about voting for the person you hate less! Selecting government officials should not be a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils, it should be about choosing the person you think will do the best job. And that is why I don't vote. Because if my vote is as sacred and important as everyone tells me it is, why the bloody fuck should I waste it on a candidate I don't honestly think would make a good president? I shouldn't. I refuse to demean the democratic process by voting for someone I don't think would be a decent leader. Sorry, not gonna do it.

The right to vote includes the right NOT to, for which there are tons of reasons beyond my own personal ones. And how can we fault anyone for exercising their rights?
