Listen you fucking geniuses it's not the BARCODE that makes the metal detector ring when you try to leave the library with a book you haven't checked out, it's the little metal strip we attach to the spine of the book. That's why we call it a METAL DETECTOR as oppose to a BARCODE DECTECTOR!!! So please stop ripping the barcodes off books thinking that by doing so you'll be able to get away without checking them out. You won't. We will catch you because you are dumb and don't think about the logistics of this shit!!!

And another thing, professors who think that throwing a tantrum in the middle of the library like a three year old will make the workers bend to their will had better think again.

Okay that's my rant for the day. That one has been building up since last night. NOw for a quick re-cap of some nice things that have happened today: spoke to Charles at some length today and that was pretty nice considering that I was convinced he hated me. And during lunch I got to talk to Sebastien about English and writing and all that fun shit. Told me I should read Rimbaud, and now I'm off to pillage his desk for the volume of poetry he said he had lying around. Actually, I think I can see it from here.
