Yippy Yippy Yahoo!!!!
I figured out how to format email corresepondences to potential employers!!! I am SOOOO proud of myself!!!! See, you include your resume in the text AND as an attachment, AH HA!!!That way even if they can't or don't want to open the attachment, your potential employer can still read your resume. So now that i know that I've been emailing resumes out all night :-D AND I HAVEN'T FELT SCARED ABOUT IT!!! Because now I know I'm doing it right. I can rest assured that I am putting my best foot forward and making the most stellar impression I am capable of making over the computer.
In fact I just emailed my resume out to Allworth Press, a publisher that I am very familiar with. They had an ad in the Times this Sunday looking for an editorial assistant. Dude I starred and circled that shit! If that is not the job for me I don't know what is!!! So I've spent the last hour drafting a very impressive cover letter to them making sure to mention my familiarity with their company, my interest in writing, and my editorial internship at Out Magazine. Lemme tell you this letter is PERFECT!!! No way they could not be impressed by it. If I were me and I read my cover letter and resume I would AT LEAST invite me in for an interview!
*raises cup of Coke* Here's to hoping :-D
