Ever since Valentine's day I have been pondering the qualities that make someone sexy, in my eyes anyway. And I have decided that the sexiest thing in the world is big talent sans arrogance.
There is nothing more attractive than someone who is ultra smart and excels in their area of expertise whether it be writing, or singing, or philosophy, or whatever. People who are GOOD at what they do are incredibly HOT. But big headedness is not. Just look at Andy Rea. Good writer but the fact that he is vocal about how fucking good he is makes him so damn ugly! Humility is the key to being talented AND attractive. It's fine to know that you are at the top of your game, it's not fine to TELL others repeatedly that you are at the top of your game. If you are as talented as you say you are you shouldn't need to brag, your excellence will speak for itself.
That said, this afternoon I discovered that Ben Myers is the single sexiset guy on campus!
Today the class, sans me and Noah, had their first showing of the streetcar scenes. Ben and Helen did the final scene where Stanley rapes Blanche. OMIGOD Ben totally pulled a Hannibal Lector! He was sooooo fucking sinister that I had chills running up and down my spine from his first line. He just...I can't even explain it. He was mean, he was cruel, he was sarcastic and loud all of which is the totally NOT Ben. I've always said Ben is the best actor we have at this campus and he sure as hell proved it today. The soft spoken stoner totally transformed himself. I was in utter awe. I was thinking "God I don't think I ever want Ben to touch me ever ever again!"
And what's fabulous is he KNOWS he was good, but he totally didn't toot his own horn either before or after the performance. He just shuffled his feet and said thanks when people started telling him how fab he was. There it is...SEXINESS!!!!
In other news, I stayed up all last night for no apparent reason. Fell asleep round 2 in the afternoon and woke up at 11 PM. So I got my 8 hours of sleep. Gonna stay up till 10 or 11 tonight and when wake up at 9 on wed. I should hopefully be back on a normal sleeping schedule.
