I'VE GOT AN APPOINTMENT WITH A PSYCHIATRIST!!!!!!!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's for the upcoming Monday. Sure I'm gonna have to show up at 8:25 AM thus severely cutting down on the amount of sleep I'll get the night before, but who the fuck cares?! I'm gonna get meds!!! The guy I'm seeing is named Dr. Gallo and he sounded really nice on the phone. He asked me what my situation was, I told him , and he was very concerned about getting me an appointment as soon as possible. I'm very excited. And I can't forget to pat myself on the back. I've been putting this off for so long, been so scared of doing it, and look at how just a couple days of persistence paid off? I love you Carla.
In other news, Jennifer and I didn't get to go out to lunch today because Carol decided to take half the day off without telling anyone before hand. The wench just waltzed in this morning and informed everyone she would be leaving at 12:30. Hadn't cleared it with Elisabete or Jennifer, so they were both pretty pissed. So was I considering the grief she gave me last week for taking Friday off. I gave her a weeks notice and she yelled at me for not telling her sooner!!! I'm sorry but the only person I need to clear my personal days with is Elisabete. Anyway because of Carol's abrupt departure Jen and I were the only people availible to work the circ desk so we couldn't go to lunch together.
But Jen was so sweet, she said we'd do it next week for sure, and to make up for it she brought me back a slice of pizza when she returned from lunch. Wasn't that sweet of her? I like Jennifer so much. She's such a mom. Only person in the whole damn office with a good head on her shoulders.
The afternoon was really slow. Just me, Jen, and Elisabete, and it was really nice. The three of us work really well when there's absolutely no one else around to get in our way. Towards the end of the day Elisabete even gave me a compliment!!! Shock!!! She said to me "Oh Carla it's so nice to have you working with us in the day now. You're so pleasant, and you're a good worker. I'm glad you're here." That made me smile all big. I've never gotten a compliment from my top boss before :-D
I'm turning 25 on Sunday. The ladies were teasing me about that today. Elisabete was like "Oh my God, 25. She's just a baby! I was already divorced by the time I was 25!" Still not sure what I'm gonna do to celebrate. Probably go out to eat with my mom, maybe take in a movie. That'll be it. That's all it ever is. And I have to say I kinda like it that way, although it would be nice to have a friend or two at the table for once. Oh well, maybe some day.
