morrigirlUCB was awesome tonight! I'm so glad I went. I almost didn't because I got embroiled in about three different AIM conversations almost immediately after walking in the door this evening, and I didnit want to cop out on any of them. Fortunately they all reached their natural conclusions round about 10:30 and I was able to get down to 28th St. just as the show was starting. For once I was glad they always start 15 minutes late.
Everyone was really on their game tonight, and the audience was pleasantly liquered up so it was a really nice atmosphere. Dean Ombidallah (sp?), the dude who hosted the first night I was there was back tonight. That guy cracks my shit up!!! He's an Italian from the tri-state area so naturally I relate to just about every joke he cracks.
I walked out of the theater into a torrential downpour, and guess who left her umberella at home? For the first time in years I wasn't pissed off at this. I was in a good mood so I just trotted over to the subway.
And I must be losing weight because my size 14 jeans were falling off me as I was running home from 86th St. At present the top button, which started out at my waist, is resting comfortably right above my pubic bone. My panties are pulled up higher than my jeans.
And yes I'm soaked, but I'm so unbelievably happy right now I thought the moment was worth immortalizing in my journal. :-D
