Sunday Update

morrigirlThe latest on Cathy is that if she gets through the next few days she'll probably live. Up until now she's been in shock, and now as her body starts to come out, it'll start really feeling the damage. If she can hold on through that she'll be okay.
In other news Cathy's family, her mom, her siblings, her new boyfriend, are all surprisingly uninterested in what has happened. Her mom who is in Florida on vacation has no plans to come back and be by her side. Her sister Caroline doesn't plan to come up either. Her brother Mills dropped by the hospital once and stayed for five minutes. Her boyfriend didn't seem to care in the least. Everyone is more than happy to let Greg deal with all of this single handedly and it's already taking it's toll on him. Not only is he an emotional wreck but so is GC, and Greg really isn't in a position to give him any support or reassurence because...well...no one is giving HIM any. No one in Cathy's family have even bothered to call her insurence company and tell them what happened. Greg can't find time to do it cause he's been too busy looking after Cath, dealing with the hospital shit, and keeping his son in line. We (meaning me, MIke, Danielle, Maria, Greg Day, and my mom) have all offered to help him out, but I think he's still so overwhelmed he has yet to figure out what he needs.
He called Mike on the phone today and I think talking to him helped a bit. I was over at Mike and Danielle's all day chilling out while they had their moving sale. Afterwards they drove me home in their new car. It's a pretty sweet ride.
