Last night Heather and I went to the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe. We went for the slam and stayed for the open mic, and I was seduced by a new poet. His name is Carlos Andres Gomez and this is just a portion of the most amazing of the three poems we saw him perform last night. It's called "What's Genocide."

That was amazing. He's pretty easy on the eyes as well. That is what we should do when we plan a hangout, check out some live music and/or poetry!

Ooooh that sounds fun. I need to hear more live music. I've actually been dying to come to one of your shows but I always seem to have another engagement. I will come to one though. I promise.

I would like to go back to the Nuyorican Poet's cafe, too. I had a really great time there. It reminded me of what good poetry can and should be. And naturally a companion would only enhance the experience.
