I'll be Back

Does anyone else find it disturbing that Ah-nold is going to be the next gov. of California?

Yes, but I've been disturbed by Governors of California before.

That's just uncanny.

Hehe...Well, if by disturbing, you mean hilarious, then yes! :D

I think ol' Arnie has been wanting to do this for a long time though...Hell, I think people have been predicting his move toward politics for years...In the movie Demolition Man (don't see it, if you haven't already), he was the President of the United States (the film even goes so far as to explain that the law which prohibits people not born in the U.S. from becoming the President was lifted just so he could run)!

I suppose it doesn't hurt that he's married to a Kennedy (yes, Maria Shriver is tied-in to that clan, for those not in the know)...Maybe she'll provide some balance for him...

If anything, what might be the most disturbing, as my friend Ben pointed out the other day, is that this marks the second time that an actor from such movies as Predator, The Running Man, and Batman & Robin has been elected governor of a state! Yes, lest we forget, Jesse "The Body" Ventura was in all 3 of those films as well!

By disturbing....

I meant that he was elected purely on his name recognition rathe than any policies or ideas he hopes to implament. Honestly, does anyone know jack about this guys political views other than that he's a Republican? And what self respecting Californian would elect a Republican Gov. anway?
