Abcess part 2

Dermotologist cut that sucker out. Well, it's probably more accurate to say he squeezed it out. He also found a mole on my arm he didn't like so he took a slice outta that too. I don't know if he removed the entire thing, or just a sliver. I tried not to watch.

As for the cyst, the anesthetic hasn't worn off yet so I'm not in any pain at the moment, but lord is that incision gonna hurt when it does. *glaces down* Oh look, I'm already starting to bleed through the bandage. Anyway, the doc gave me a shot of cortisone and said to come back if the lump hadn't disappeared or properly healed in three weeks.

I'm so tired. Time to sleep.

And I get to change the wrap on both of these deep bloody incisions for the next few months. Not looking forward to it, espscially since I'm afraid of blood. The very sight of it makes me woozy.

Did they let you keep it?

I've sometimes wondered exactly what becomes of medical waste. I know it's disposed of in special ways, but where do they take it and to do what with it? I hope it's all incinerated, because any other option I can conceive is frightening.

I believe it's incinerated eventually, but for a while it's put at a medical waste facility. Which you can steal fat from, apparently, and thus make soap.
